25 years of
shipped product.
Designer who builds. Builder who designs. I've spent 25 years shipping product across hardware, consumer software, and enterprise platforms, and I currently lead design and marketing at Battle Motors.
I've spent my career going where the product needed me. Principal UX at Amazon Lab126 on the Kindle, Senior Creative Director at Samsung's ID8 innovation lab, CPO at Romeo Power, lead UX at Bose Professional, design leadership at Intuit and EA Sports, and now CDO/CMO at Battle Motors.
I can own the product story, design the system, write the front-end in Next.js or React, and stand up the MySQL behind it. The four case studies on this site are live in production. All of them shipped this year.
I make things. I prototype with 3D printing and metalwork, and I hold patents across four product domains. I'd rather build cool work than talk about it. If that's what you're hiring for, let's talk.

Romeo Power“The rarest of designer leaders. A force multiplier. Some of the most impressive work I've ever been a part of was spearheaded by Dion, including the design of the Kindle Paperwhite software UX. He'd present designs all the way to Amazon's CEO for sign-off, and bring a calm, cool, confident approach that won over leadership. He's one of a kind.”
